Allison A. Platt, MLA, PLA, ASLA

Allison Platt is an urban designer and landscape architect with experience in a wide variety of large and small scale design projects including downtown revitalization strategies, town center master plans, urban site and district plans, corridor studies, streetscape and park design and construction documents, and waterfront development plans. A main focus of her work is the identification of development and revitalization opportunities in urban settings. Many of the communities in which she has worked are state or National Register Historic Districts, including New Bern and Goldsboro, North Carolina and Hilton Village in Newport News, Virginia.

 

Ms. Platt is an accomplished writer and editor, and has many years of experience organizing and moderating community consensus-building workshops designed to involve the community in the design process and build support for implementation. Her involvement in projects often encompasses all phases of work including community consensus-building, inventory and analysis, master planning, design and development guidelines, implementation strategies, design development, construction documents, and report and marketing materials production.
